The ZDE was awarded for its innovative strength! With the successful approval of our application for a research allowance and the awarding of the BSFZ seal, our commitment to the research and development of new topics is officially recognised.

What is the BSFZ seal?

The Certification Office for Research Allowances (BSFZ) awards the seal to companies whose research and development activities have been audited according to the strict criteria of the Federal Ministries of Education and Research, Economics and Finance. This award confirms that we are making a significant contribution to technological development with our projects.

With tailwind further towards the smart city

The approval of the research allowance enables us to continue investing in innovative solutions and to continuously expand our range of smart city and training courses. For us, the award of the BSFZ seal is not only a recognition of our work to date, but also an incentive to continue to actively shape the digitization of cities and municipalities.

We would like to thank the BSFZ for this recognition and look forward to continuing to set forward-looking impulses with our research work!

Our funded project: Digital City Experts

As part of our research and development activities, our Digital City Experts (DCEx) project was supported with the research allowance. In this project, a digital learning platform, innovative learning content and a new format of knowledge transfer were developed that enable practice-oriented further training for specialists and decision-makers in the field of smart cities.

Why is this project so important?

  • Preparing complex smart city topics in an understandable way: Many municipalities are faced with the challenge of efficiently digitizing their cities. Our platform provides a low-threshold initial overview of expertise in digital infrastructures, data management, AI technologies and sustainable urban development concepts.
  • Hands-on training: Content is delivered in a variety of formats, including videos, quizzes, best practices, studies, and expert interviews. In this way, participants not only gain theoretical insights, but also directly applicable knowledge for their own projects.
  • Bridging the gap between science and practice: The learning platform is a novelty in the field of smart city training and was developed in close cooperation with leading European experts from business, science and administrative digitalization.
