Parking search traffic accounts for up to 40% of inner-city traffic. Recording parking areas for individual spaces is the basis for intelligent and efficient parking space management.
On our campus, the individual spaces are equipped with different, mutually complementary systems. Overhead sensor technology can efficiently evaluate a larger number of surfaces simultaneously when the line of sight is open.
Ground parking sensors measure whether there is a vehicle above a single parking space. They are also highly reliable in poor visibility conditions, for example under trees. All data is collected in a data platform and processed for the use of parking management.
