First Year Review and Consortium Meeting of PilotInnCities in Bratislava

The most important events in Bratislava take place in the Hotel Bôrik – a place where the British Queen was once a guest and where our Slovakian project partner, the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Information, invited all project partners to the First Year Review of our “Pilotinn Cities” project. This first important official meeting to evaluate the progress of the project, which took place in cooperation with the managing authority of the Interreg Danube Region Program, served as an invaluable milestone for our work and as a measure of whether we have set our topics and steps correctly.

And yes: We can be proud that our diverse efforts are recognized and supported at EU level – our project is perceived as a benchmark in the Danube Region Programme. This was a great result and a privilege that we had not expected. All partners in the project have taken this as an opportunity to further expand their cooperation and launch new joint ideas. Our visit was characterized by a two-day intensive exchange until late in the evening. This helped us prepare for the next very exciting steps and so we can announce that the most exciting part of the project is yet to come, so stay tuned!

A big thank you also goes to our Slovakian partners, the event in Bratislava was perfectly organized and we always felt well looked after as guests!

OK, we can spoil a little at this point:
Our Open Calls within the Danube region will start at the end of March/beginning of April. These are the very first “Danubian Open Calls” for innovative agile smart city pilot projects in the six countries of our consortium. A unique opportunity for start-ups and SMEs to help drive forward the intelligent transformation of public space and secure initial funding for their own idea.
